Daylight Savings

Did you know that in 1895, George Hudson made up the modern concept of daylight savings time? The reason he wanted to do this was because he wanted more after work time. Daylight savings is a benefit for everyone. You get more daylight, criminals are easily spotted and stopped before they can do something illegal, and also give rise to adults to be active and spend some time off the couch.

To be fair daylight savings does have such minor conditions, but everyone will be getting more daylight. That allows people to have more outside time and time for themselves. This is a great opportunity for family and friends time. It allows you to have a bonding that will be strong by the end of quarantine. Imagine having that time but if you prefer not to have daylight saving time (DST) then you’re going to be in the dark riding your bike to school, when it’s only  6:00 in the morning. If that bothers you, that is just the beginning of the downsides, not having DST.

This is a no brainer, but stopping criminals is a thing everyone wants, whether it’s stopping them from doing something they may regret or them doing something so terrible they’ll hurt others. Seven percent of the crime rate went down everytime DST comes around again. If DST can help stop criminals wouldn’t you want to continue to have DST.

For a fact, since quarantine started adults and kids have been sitting on the couch eating potato chips. DST provides more time for adults to exercise to be more active to beat the weight gain many have packed on since the pandemic began. Wouldn’t that be better than having conditions that will affect you? In my perspective it would be a great opportunity that will be good for people. Why wouldn’t you take it? Having DST is great and it is great for others like yourself.

DST really does affect everyone, including you. It affects you in so many possible ways; more daylight to spend on yourself and with your loved one, giving justice that everyone deserves, and having a healthy future for yourself and the adults around you.
