Halloween is coming up this Saturday, and one question is in most people’s minds: Is it safe to go out Trick or Treating this year?
Every year on October 31st, children of all ages would knock on doors and ask for candy, but this year a lot will change. Covid 19 is a serious threat to American families, and as of right now 8.8 million people in the US have gotten infected with Covid. In California alone there are 923k people who have or had Covid 19. There are a lot of people who don’t care about safety regards and some that are fine with staying indoors, but what should you do?
First of all let’s look at the positives about going out this Saturday. To begin with, you would get free candy and you’ll enjoy yourself with the cool Halloween parties.
But, let’s look at the darker side now. There is a likely possibility that the candy that you’re eating right now has been touched by someone infected by the CoronaVirus. No big deal right? I mean how would you get infected by a piece of candy?
I know most of us know how Covid spreads by concating the virus itself, like by sneezing or a handshake. What a lot of people don’t know is a person touches their face 23 times an hour. If you don’t wash your hands and you touch candy that has the virus on it, you could be in trouble. There is another worry. Usually while trick or treating, you see a lot of people within a close distance of each other, which breaks the 6 feet apart rule. In order to keep as safe as possible you must follow the 6 ft apart rule.
Finally, I suggest that you should not go out trick or treating this year. You should just dress up and do fun things with your family, like watching scary movies or face painting! But if you still want to go outside, stay safe.
You should follow the precautions, wear your mask and stay 6 feet apart.
